Which of these services do you want to see JCM Armory provide in the near future?
Each question is the same set of possible future services that we could focus on, but each question represents a higher priority that tells us what we should focus on first, second, and so on.
We have the following possibilities suggestion, but feel free to contact us with other ideas if you don’t see them here!
Machined Barrel Threading
This is a hard one to find. A sizable majority of experienced gunsmiths in the region don’t offer barrel threading services. The only way to properly do it is using a specialized metalworking lathe. That is expensive, and is quite an upfront investment.
So we’d need to know there is good interest in that service before we could consider the investment.
Thorough Gun Teardown & Cleaning
This one is fairly straight forward. The price may reflect the complexity of taking a gun apart, although more basic cleaning would also be available as well, such as cleaning of all accessible areas without a teardown, and running a bore snake through the bore.
AR 15/10/9 Repairs and Parts Installation
This is an already highly-accessible service as Mike is an expert with AR’s, and Tim has built several himself.
Building Day/Night Deer Feeding Troughs
Tim has hand-built and programmed a deer feeding trough, 4×2 feet, that follows the time of year, knows sunrise and sunset etc. It opens at a customizable time (~10 minutes after last light) and opens 20 minutes before first light.
This is designed to train deer to feed during daylight over the course of the off-season, increasing your chances when its time to hunt.
