Tennessee: 4473 transfer, no Form 4, no tax stamp, no wait

Tennessee’s Hearing Protection Act (Pub. Ch. 339, 2017) removed silencers from the state’s prohibited-weapons law, and state law does not add a registration condition. That means in Tennessee you can buy a suppressor from JCM Armory, fill out a Form 4473 at your FFL, pass the NICS check and take it home under ATF’s current policy (since October 9, 2026). A voluntary $0 Form 4 is still available if you want federal paperwork on file. Shop suppressors →
